Suggestions for improvement
- Improve the mood of the office by positive news. The employee's should be recognized for their achievements. A bonus structure should be set-up. Get a training coordinator that knows how to teach differnt types of learners. Have a more clear evaluation system for promotions.
What I like about the company
Empire is now focused on better relationships between departments, although they still have a ways to go. They are very flexible with letting you choose your schedule (Arrive before 10:00... No one leaves before 3:00) They are located inside the Double Tree Hotel which has other tenants and services close by.
What I dislike about the company
Empire does not train their employees properly. In the past, new employees learned from current employees (which can be a problem if the current employee teaches you wrong) It's a stressful environment with little reason to be (month end is always stressful). The turn around rate is high (and without warning). Suddenly the person who you depend on for certain tasks is no longer an employee (without a suitable replacement). If you are a perfectionist, or simply like to do things right the first time, this may not be the place for you. Empires method for operation is trial and error. You make a mistake... You learn to fix your mistake, however the reason why there was a mistake is too complicated to fix now so just keep fixing the mistakes until Empire finds a better way. They do not value your time as an employee (pull you away from work for audit help, repetitive mistakes you must fix) Micro Managing is definitely a thing.
