Merged with a great company with a good culture & the new company did not have the "family" culture that CenterPoint Energy had; don't care as much about people and was not the enjoyable place it had been before; morale went way down and layoffs were handled in a poor way; Human Resources was inconsistent in their answers to questions and did not seem to know the correct answers to layoff questions after more than a year of layoffs. Chose not to do things in ways that would have made employees exits easier. Moved some good employees out of state and then let them go!
They discontinued many of the perks and fun activities that helped morale.
