Support from Management
The mortgage department used to have a manager that cared about his employees and whether they were stressed out, over-worked, etc. But then the new director seemed threatened by his skills and let him go. The focus went from one of teamwork and helping others to how much can we crank out no matter the quality, no matter the customer service levels, no matter the cost to the employees well-being.
Suggestions for improvement
- Possibly bringing in a third party consultant to review the job descriptions and action plans to encourage fairness and effective leadership.
