Suggestions for improvement
- i would not make any changes, they are are a great company with what they are doing
While management aims to aid representatives in becoming better sales agents they lack in compassion. Managers get paid an extra $100 for each agent that ranks in the top 100. This leads to some managers becoming more aggressive to lower performing agents due to the stress of competition and self interest. It is difficult for some managers to separate their interests from the needs of the lower performing agent. This leads to harassment and bullying of the agent which ultimately results in even lower performance and efficiency.
Lack of communication between departments leads to a fissure between them. Local offices are often annoyed by the reservation team for relaying incorrect information.
Management has a lackadaisical view of employees. No empathy
One person does the job of everyone
You can pretty much do as you please, whether you're actually working or not!
Poor communication among management team members
Men will watch the women do the hard work, whether it is required or not.
They try to promote a good culture. But honestly it depends on who your boss is. Some are great others are horrible.
Aggressive sales and intra branch competition created a lot of tensions and crossed a lot of ethical borders.
Constantly looking for mistakes to pin on you instead of opportunities to make you better. A lot of unnecessary reports to complete daily.
Its very political and people help who they know. Outside of that is very difficult to facilitate teamwork.
There is a lot of "need to know" basis and a very formal chain of command that all communication is expected to follow. Deviation rubs everyone the wrong way.
