Culture was dependent on making sure executives were pleased vs. taking care of employees. Departments disconnected from each other.
Support from management
There were no clear global goals/direction
Departments created teamwork, but were often limited in contact with other departments.
Freedom to work independently
Dependent upon your direct boss, there were times that you were trusted to work independently.
Horrible communication across the entire business. Not transparent at all.
No, they are not.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Executives pushed for a "younger" business model
Your career development was determined by whether or not the executive personally liked you.
Overall compensation for your work
Vastly underpaid for the industry for comparable work.
Office / Work Environment
Night and day amenities afforded from corporate office to satellite locations
Only the executives and their key players seem to be able to have a work life balance.
Energy is a great market and lots of opportunities for exciting and challenging work.
Inclusive / Diverse
only the lower level/less pay positions are diverse. Not Executive level
