Very little trust from the company to its Employees, constantly being watched for things that are not important. No understanding of work-life balance and the trails that Employees go through just to get to work each day.
Freedom to work independently
Company is not open to new innovative suggestions. Very old school in process and procedures.
No communication everything is private, employees are not allowed to talk to each other.
Very little support given to working mothers.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Long-serving colleagues over 5 years are being treated as suspicious, not trusted at all, and insight and employee suggestions are turned down.
Office / Work Environment
Very up to date technology.
Company still conforms to old ways and habits, not appealing to the Millennial generation.
The company will contact Employees all times of night and early hours in the morning. Pressure to constantly work longer than an 8 hour day for exempt employees without being paid over-time.
The company has a great image with their clients, however, not with their employees.
I felt accomplished for the tasks completed, however, management never recognized such efforts.
Suggestions for improvement
- Sensitivity training for the company, and workshops that mirror efforts such as Google who create a great work-life environment for each employee. Flexible work hours for employees not working on sites.
What I like about the company
I love the great equipment that is more up-to-date than the clients we serviced. The dedicated staff who have been with the company for long periods of time really try to assist you, and want you to succeed.
What I dislike about the company
As time changes and the Millennial generation is becoming the largest generation in the work-force, a company needs to change with the times. The treatment of the company on its staff is demeaning, creates low self-esteem all of which cause high turnover. Work-life balance is non-existent, Employees are expected to work over-time without properly being compensated both exempt and non-exempt staff. Judgment for using earned scheduled paid time-off which causes stress and makes employees not want to take off of work to have personal time.
