Constant favoritism, women employees are treated poorly, mismanagement of company funds, micromanaging by the owners due to lack of trust for their employees. Little pay for the work-load, no appreciation shown to employees. Offers only 5 days PTO after being employed for 1 yr. Observes only 4 federal holidays - all other holidays are work days with no holiday pay. Does not match 401k. Takes no consideration for people with families. All-around terrible!
Support from management
Communication from the top down is horrible. There is no transparency, but they expect you to be completely at their disposal
The office environment is always tense. Honesty is rare. The team is small (less than 15 people in the main office), some try to work together, others stir up drama constantly
Freedom to work independently
You will be micro-managed. Executives are all family and they don't really trust their employees, so they try to control their day, unless you're a favorite.
Information you may need to complete a task is often held up. Bi-weekly meetings reiterate incomplete tasks, challenges and project results.
Women are treated differently than the men in the office. Lots of examples of discrimination.
Overall compensation for your work
Men are paid more to do less work. Job duties change at Executive's discretion
Office / Work Environment
Office is comfortable. Located in a very nice area. Free parking, plenty of places to have lunch around the building. Computers and lap tops could use upgrading.
They don't care about your life outside of work. They do not allow the women to go tot lunch together. Often called to the office on weekends. They believe if you are not at your desk, you are not working. They don't allow overtime, but they expect all work to be completed in unrealistic deadlines
Ashamed to be a part of this organization. Quality of work is sub-par compared to competitors
They rarely terminate office employees. They just mistreat them until they chose to leave.
Field employees have little to no training before going out to operate heavy machinery. Office staff training is basically shadowing the rest of the team. No real training program in place
The work is not challenging. Very tedious & redundant, but that is to be expected with accounting
Inclusive / Diverse
Family owned. Very little diversity. Borderline discriminatory behavior toward women
Suggestions for improvement
- Sell the company to new owners! Learn how to encourage, motivate and properly compensate loyal employees. Stick to the rules set forth in employee handbook, and hold accountable the employees who don't comply for their actions across the board!

On birthdays, we get cake.
What I dislike about the company
Lack of trust for its employees. Micro-managing. Disrespect of women. No room for advancement in any position. Favoritism. Poor communication from top. Morale among employees is very low. Home-life affected by work stress, due to executives requirement that all employees be accessible by cell phone outside of work at ALL times.
