Felt like a nice family company until the end
Support from management
Support seemed good until my manager threw me away to another team.
Most techs are shy and don’t like working with others
Freedom to work independently
Mostly independent work
Very few females. 2-3 against 40+ males
Great to get started but quickly gets stale and there is no advancement opportunities
Overall compensation for your work
Pay was about right with the market. If you’re just starting out with a degree its around 33k but with a degree and experience its mor like 37k as a field tech
Office / Work Environment
Pretty relaxed. You are always at a school fixing things
Great hours(8-4 M-F)
Most clients seem to view them ok. Mostly because the field techs cover for the company when things get messed up.
I was promised the world and then thrown to the curb with no explanation
Most schools are well equipped
Schools are pretty safe places
Work is usually simple but working with older, less than technical teachers can be like teaching preschool
Inclusive / Diverse
I was the black sheep because I had personality and was social and friendly.
Suggestions for improvement
- Treat your best employees better and value the relationships they build with your clients.
What I like about the company
Flexibility/schedule and amazing client relationships
What I dislike about the company
Higher management only sees $ and not the people that make it happen. At the end of the day everyone is at risk of being unemployed.
