The company espouses a culture of the individual, stating it treats its employees like people and not just cogs in a corporate machine. Unfortunately, its business practices show otherwise.
Support from management
Depends on the manager, but at the end of the day supervisors are largely powerless and upper management largely uncaring.
This varies from team to team. My supervisor was very good at building a team environment and strong camaraderie between employees.
Freedom to work independently
Theoretical high marks here, but again this depends on the supervisor.
Internal communication between departments is nearly non-existent, and within a single department is very poor. Different supervisors within the same department will have radically different ideas how to do something, so you'll always feel like you're doing your job poorly.
In order to succeed, you will have to surreptitiously work off the clock or otherwise sacrifice your personal time. If you don't break the rules here, you will not excel.
If you don't perform above and beyond expectations, generally by breaking rules to make more money, you will be drummed out.
