What I like about the company

The people I got to see and work with everyday at the gym. The gym benefits.

What I dislike about the company

The corporate department that I specifically worked for. The Shop, NOT Equinox over all.

They were very unappreciative and didn't really care if their MOD's were exhausted. I worked open to close for 13 hours for multiple consecutive days and no one batted an eyelash. If my corporate department did their job correctly instead of sucking up to their boss's in New York and getting manicures, I say that only because our district and regional managers were the only ones who could afford it, and give themselves the time off. Every time I met with them, they either had a different nail or hair color, heels on, I wished I have had the time and money to pamper myself that way. But working 60 hour weeks, at $13.00/hr. That was not going to happen.

If they cared at all for their teams, MOD's and shops, they would of hired people I could have really relied on. Calling in last Minute, left and right. I couldn't hire them, fire them or write them up. How was I supposed to enforce action and discipline when they didn't show up and I was left working a double.

Bad inventory to sell, you can't sell something no one wants. Too expensive and quality was cheap on the behalf of their merchandise. I sat on the same men's inventory for over a year. How would they expect us to sell and meet our monthly goal?

Also we were required to clock out before the 5th hour for a lunch, but couldn't leave the shop or actually take a break. Isn't that

against the law, and the main reason the company was sued in the first place? We weren't even allowed to sit. They were not managing and they were not good leaders.

If they like you, your golden. But if they didn't, you dealt with a lot of write ups for dumbfounded reasons. Mine were mostly from when my shop did not meet monthly goals. How could I sell multiple men's large grey Nike shorts that were 2 yrs old? There was only so much a person could do. Yes I stopped caring, and switched over to the kids club part time, before I was let go for not clocking out past the 5th hour, after a parent came late to pick up their own child. I was let go for doing my job basically.
