Working at Erie Insurance has been a pleasure as they have made my life easier with the flexible schedule. They are very understanding regarding personal issues and they are very supportive of their employees.
I don’t disapprove of much, but if I have any complaints it would be the concern of lackinggreater opportunities to advance within the company (especially for women)
Overall company culture is good. Employees have good benefits.
Management (even at the Senior Level) is not empowered at any level to make decisions. Simple hiring decisions or equipment requests go through a long committee driven process that takes forever to complete objectives.
Virtually no teamwork between IT organizations with no discipline from management to correct it.
There is no freedom to work independently. All work and decisions (even for seasoned professionals) are met with severe micromanagement.
Good communications to employees.
Company makes work-life balance a priority sometimes to the detriment of the organization (staff repeatedly call off with no actions taken against them).
The work is too easy and you might find your career stagnating here.
Company is very diverse ethnically and with gender diversity. Nepotism is a huge issue. The company is full of family members working at times for the same internal organization.
It is a stable work environment and the overall company culture is good (not so much in IT & Operations)
Rampant nepotism and favoritism in their hiring practices. No desire to employ new technologies or adapt to change.
