What was said by management is not what is practiced.
Support from management
It is all about company politics. In my department you are pressured into volunteer overtime. A lot of overtime that is beyond our departments control.
Some members of my department would take on extra work, others would not.
You get an idea of what each department is doing and what is happening overall in the company meetings. But each department is run differently, a lot of politics, and it isn't how well you do, it is who is the favorite at that moment.
Good place to get your first real design job out of college only.
Overall compensation for your work
Some departments offered overtime pay, mine didn't and my department was always pressured to do overtime. My last raise was 1% more then someone who didn't stay late and didn't come in on the weekends.
Office / Work Environment
In the creative departments, there are only 3 people still there since end of 2012. At least 17 full time employees got hired and no longer work there in just the creative departments in this time frame.
Please volunteer your nights and weekends to work overtime for free. If you don't shame on you. If you did, hope you where not foolish enough to put in 15 to 30 hours of free overtime to get the employee of the month for your department and get a $50 gift card as a thank you.
Majority of reviews about the company are negative.
Company is trying to grow, lots of turnaround. There has been layoffs even as the economy has improved due to mismanagement slower sales growth.
No handicap people work for the company.
No, do don't get enough time to design.
Inclusive / Diverse
Creative department has to listen to sales/marketing department even when they don't have an idea which direction to go.
Suggestions for improvement
- The CEO is a nice guy, gives a good peep talk. But turn around rate is way too high. It can't be the employees are all bad apples.
What I like about the company
My fellow coworkers I my department.
What I dislike about the company
Pressure to work overtime for free. Too much politics between departments. Managers that are not qualified and play favorites.
