The company is desperate to achieve awards such as Magnet, however, they go about this by making ridiculous videos instead of implementing policies that support their employees.
Support from Management
Unless you're looking to stay forever, management will not support you furthering your education by allowing some flexibility in scheduling. As far as training programs go, they have whittled it down from 6-8 weeks (when I started in 2009) to 1 or 2. They have no qualms putting you in situations you are untrained for, without access to necessary systems/equipment, at a moments notice. No amount of discussion or tears will change the fact that refusing to do work that you are incapable of doing warrants termination.
