Support from management
Never constructive feedback. If you paraphrase what management says to you, "that's not what we said". Half the time management doesn't even know what's going on within the building or they are never around, "always at a meeting at main campus and unreadable".
Do not know what this phrase means within this organization. If you try and work as a team, if you work as an individual your not a team player. Too conflicting of information to give valid feedback.
Freedom to work independently
HIPPA/Confidiendiality need not apply within this building. Administration is very gossipy. Most of the time they are the means of the rumor mills. Very unprofessional. Puts co-works in odd situations and uncomfortable environment.
There is no communication and if there is only half of the information, meaning there's room to "infer" the rest. (Enter rumor mill).
More females than males in facility. Unsure of statistics of applicants to fairly evaluate this.
Attitude towards older colleagues
All age groups employed.
No recognition given towards/encouragement provided towards educational advancements. No CEU opportunities provided/posted for nursing staff. No on site clinical educator. Comes from main campus. Unsure who this person is, no face with the name and no formal introduction with no coorspondance from this individual.
Overall compensation for your work
None to be made mention. Quick to discipline overtime for extended hours needed to provide/process patient needs such as prior authorizations, refills and process new referral information.
Office / Work Environment
Minimum at best. Always budgeting. If you ask for specific supplies to make working environment they scrounge around for second hand to "make due because it's not in the budget". No new office chairs for several years now due to budget restrictions.
Too cost savvy over being safe. Digging through expired medications to cut back on waste costs. But I guess this is a coperate expense not necessarily a company ordeal.
Never enough coverage to allow time off. Have to work around your provider being out of the office. No educational time off given for nursing staff goes against PTO bank.
BSA does not have a great reputation within the work environment. Community wise 50/50.
If administration likes you, you could retire from the organization. If you do not get along with administrators/co-workers they will mis-treat you, reprimand you until you eventually quit so it does not make the company look bad.
No safety measures implemented for narcotic administration clinic wide. Processes for this could be better for patient safety, nurse safety and clinic safety.
Proud of giving getting our patients needs taken care of. No real nursing skills required. Glorified/exceptional clerical skills a must. Highly organized and high functioning also a must. CPR maybe. ACLS not needed.
Inclusive / Diverse
Raises are barely noticeable annually. No real constructive feedback given on a year to year basis. Always the same negative comments in reviews.
Suggestions for improvement
- More management classes or additional education needed to meet job requirements would be a great starting point. Looking at family dynamics and friendships before promotions are given would also be an added bonus. Cloudiness is given to better judgement calls due to personal bias and lack of knowledge.
What I like about the company
Multi-speciality in one building can provide a lot of knowledge on a variety of topics.
What I dislike about the company
Administration is not supportive. Clinic personale gossips to much and often is the root of rumors. No information is kept private when disclosing personal issues (i.e.: reasons for running late, taking days off, etc), it gets around the clinic quickly, not around for support needs. All employee meetings do not contain useful information, mostly unhelpful and information that does not apply to clinic personale.
