Express has a good system in place, hence the reason why they are a top fortune 500 company. The areas they may need to work on is hearing and tending the needs of their employees. There is no work life balance. If you are single then that may work, but being married and having kids makes working long hours and weekends a struggle. They try to offset that with a better pay rate than most, so once again more a single person's dream so to speak.
Support from Management
The way it is set up really depends on who your boss is. There are a few great bosses but the majority is bosses who are either learning the ropes or have no people skills. So you will either have leadership that helps push you to do better or leadership who sets high expectations. Express tends to switch leadership every 6-9months I believe to give these new bosses a chance at managing people, but there are large growing pains with that as well as clashes of personalities.
