If you did your job, they left you alone and seldom called to check up on you. Very little support & very little praise. Out of sight and no problems reported means you're on their good list.
Support from management
If you really needed something, you could call and generally get it. If you needed to borrow an employee for a day, I was generally told "no one is available" and we had to make do as best we could. If other hotels needed someone in HK, we generally were able to send someone to assist them. Helping others was almost always out of balance and seldom in our favor.
