Very small hotel with minimal staff so it feels very family-like
Freedom to work independently
Most of the workload falls on overnight representative and housekeeping
Attitude towards older colleagues
There is a cap as to how much you're allowed to be paid depending on your position. Raises are typically given once yearly but if you've already reached the "cap" then the raises are no longer available to you.
The company will train you to learn other departments if you're interested. However, this strategy is used to be able to place one person in charge of multiple jobs outside of his/her position.
Overall compensation for your work
Salaries are paid on time and benefits are offered with quite a hefty price tag.
PTO is offered and vacations can be taken with a good amount of notice. However, there are certain months in which vacations are not allowed (summer).
The company makes it very clear that "Everyone is replaceable"
