Employees like

My positive personal experiences about this company are the people I have worked with. Because we are so tightly staffed, we have to work well together to get our work done. Every day is a challenge which provides a lot of great experiences to make you feel proud of the work we have done!
My experience has always been a learning experience. I have enjoyed my experiences and working with my fellow co-workers - some of them. I think of my life at this company as a positive experience and if I had to do over, I would still do over.
Due to the challenges, I work with great people whom you can rely on to do their part of all our duties to get our work done. And at the end of the day, we know we did a great job!
For many years IT was allowed to work remotely. Those years were my most productive and rewarding years of working. Unfortunately that went away with a change in IT leadership.
Staff members work well together because of the minimal staffing. Very busy place and thus, time flies!

Employees don't like

Communication from upper administration is lacking. Ability to work remotely is not offered to all. Tuition reimbursement is only offered to some, CME reimbursement is only offered to some. Ability for advancement is limited if you are a support person. Compensation is average for the market, but borders on the lower end.
Life-work balance is paid lip service to but not actually practiced. Your job is supposed to come before all other things. Pay for my position is average for the area. Upper management does not visit site locations or mix with average employees.
Upper administration does not communicate well with employees. Policy changes are made without explanation. Pay could be better. Advancement opportunities should be available for all positions, not just some.
Upper level management is removed from individual locations and communication is lacking. Tuition/CME reimbursement is only for certain positions. Lack of advancement opportunities for support positions.
Upper administration lacks communication with individual locations. Very little in-person contact with upper administration. Needs more input from employees actually doing the work.

Suggestions for improvement

Better communication between departments and faster test results so the time patients spend in the emergency department could be cut down
Allow all employees to throw children out of windows when ever they want to as a stress reliever
Be more appreciative of their staff! They say if you don't like it...there is the door!
I would give employees a raise based on quality and hours worked because deserve it
More English speaking staff or require staff to develop better communication skills

I think sometimes our manager doesn't think something she knows we need to know and doesn't notify us. Then it turns our we needed to know. She could definitely have better communication
