Support from management
My particular supervisor did not exhibit management skills or know how to handle conflict among emoloyees.
Freedom to work independently
Great company, awesone benefits and other perks. 3 weeks vacation at start 4 weeks after 3 yrs. Bonus structure pretty nice if you meet team goals.
Fannie Mae is big on career advancement and potential to advance in other departments. The company promotes diversity in all cultures and lifestyle choices. The Company embraces diversity but management does not always follow Company protocols.
Suggestions for improvement
- Fannie Mae would be a better Company if some of the management team was replaced with professional, ethical personnel. The clean out needs to start at the VP chain on down. Most managers are hired by who they now not what they now.
What I like about the company
A great company to work for and retire from. FNMA's Company mission statement does not reflect the morals and ethics FNMA stands by.
What I dislike about the company
Management, very poor management style and very unprofessional. My department was based on favoritism not quality of work or content of work.
