Fayetteville Health & Rehabilitation Center experience report

  • 16.May 2017
  • Employee

Not good

1.67

Company culture

Not employee focused

Support from Management

Newer inexperienced staff in management roles.

Teamwork

Lots of confusion as to what was expected of employees

Level of Autonomy

To some degree, administration tried to interfere in nursing decisions, without nursing experience.

Communication

There were too many challenges and attempts to cover them up, to keep track.

Gender Equality

It was mostly women, but no. If you were not in the right click, you were treated differently

Attitude towards older colleagues

Yes

Career Development

You only got opportunities if you were part of the click.

Overall Compensation for your work

The pay is good, but not worth the stress and lack of appreciation for employees that try to help when needed.

Office/Work Environment

Had massive structure issues, including black mold, bed bugs and roaches.

Eco-consciousness

No recycling and as previously stated multiple issues with leaky roofs, and black mold.

Work-Life Balance

We were forced to work our jobs, then stay over and work the jobs of othere as well. They are constantly understaffed.

Company Image

I was always embarrassed to tell people I worked there, because of the bad reputation the place has in the Healthcare world.

Job security

If they want someone else in your position, they will demote you in a heart beat.

Handicap Accessibility

Well it's a rehab and nursing facility, so of course it was handicap accessible. They do not hire employees with handicaps

Workplace Safety

Half the building was condemned a short time due to black mold.

Challenging Work

Hard to be proud to work in a place where the building was caving in and has such a bad rep.

Inclusive/Diverse

The administrator got her previous facility shut down due to deterioration of the building, then successfully ran off the long term employees to bring in the people from her previous facility.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Take better care of your long term employees. All 5 o f them that are still there.

What I like about the company

They helped me pay for nursing school.

What I dislike about the company

They stopped putting employees and patients first and made it about making the most money. Also, they hired incompetent management and after 10 years, I couldn't stay there anymore to watch the place fall any farther.
