Suggestions for improvement
- Managers could take up for employees and explain to executive management the demand they put on employees as well as unrealistic deadlines. The ability to work from home, or at off sites closer to home would be helpful. It would also be nice to get paid maternity/paternity leave, as those who don't have enough leave saved up either have to work their way out of a negative leave balance, or take leave without pay.
What I like about the company
The mission is great and I've come across some great people while working here. The ability to move around isn't easy, but when you get to learn a new subject matter, it can help what was routine and boring become interesting again.
What I dislike about the company
I wish there was the ability to work from home. I commute from Baltimore to DC everyday and it's very draining. The opportunities to work closer to home don't exist and it's too expensive to move closer to work.
