Suggestions for improvement
- It would require a change in management or unionization of the workforce, leading to a change in working conditions.
Salary and benefits
It is a poorly managed, dysfunctional organization. The atmosphere is unnecessarily competitive and political. You spend an inordinate amount of time in meetings, where everyone is expected to perform. Your performance at those meetings is an end in itself. You are expected to work 40 hours, not the normal 9-5 minimum in most workplaces. While most people do not work 9-5, the extra work is normally voluntary. Here it is mandatory. You are frequently asked to jump through unnecessary hoops that have nothing to do with your job description or the mission of the organization. There are many managers and peers that simply cannot be trusted.
