Overall Compensation for your work

Cons
If I could give company zero stars I would. This company has no clue how to motivate sales people. This company is the worst company that I have ever worked for in my life as far as a motivational compensation plan goes.

Fellers looks at nothing else but monthly growth year over year. Nothing else counts or matters. And unless you do 10% growth every month, forever and ever and ever, you get NO bonus/commission...zero, zip, nada. So if you grow 5%, 7% or 9% you get NOTHING monetarily for that growth. And let's say that if you get a very large order in say June, the next June you are screwed and have to outperform that number. Plus Fellers only gives their sales rep's "credit" for their top 100 accts. So you get no sales credit for customer's 101-150 or any new customers that place orders until they show up in your top 100. Every day I talk to people that are not in my top 100 who are going to buy and I won't get the sales credit. Wow…that’s so motivating! All of this is just so wrong. So the number they hassle you about isn't even a true representation of the revenue your territory is really producing. And I find it kind of insane to have a conversation with my Manager about a number that isn't accurate... You are also never given a breakdown of how they arrive at your final numbers and I have caught missing sales that somehow just went into “The Black Hole”. The Fellers commission plan is a total joke and the base salary is pathetic. Meanwhile the owner of the company posts pic’s of his new Lamborghini all over social media while the majority of his employees, with the exception of a few "good ol' boys" in Tulsa, struggle to make a decent living while being downtrodden and totally professionally demotivated.

Their so called "medical coverage" is also terrible. Fellers doesn't have medical coverage provider...they have a "claims payer" in OK. And the do everything they can not to pay your medical bills. I have had medical claims that drag on for 8 months+ and I've also had to have to work with a "balance billing lawyer". So when you are running a $1 million dollar+ territory, and trying to deliver 10% each and every month, you get to get hassled about outstanding medical bills that aren't getting paid too. Also, three years ago the owner more than doubled the cost of everyone's medical coverage. I have never paid so much, for such pathetic "health care", in my entire life. Nor I have I ever had to deal with so many issues with getting medical bills paid... that drag on and on.

Advice to Management
- Compensate your sales people for every single dollar that they generate in their territory's and every percentage of growth.
- Update your 16 year old SFA software. It's lagging, slow and you cannot access it from a smart phone.
- Update your 10 year old MS Outlook.
- Inform your potential new hires, before you hire them, that they don’t get paid for any growth below 10% or unless the acct is already a top 100 customer.
- Inform your potential new hires that they will never get a base salary raise.
- Inform your potential new hires that 10% growth each month, forever and ever and ever, is required in order to keep their job.
- Inform you new hires that they will be written up, and face disciplinary action and termination, for 9% monthly growth.
- Stop requiring your sales rep's to enter in SFA notes in the car unless you want a workers compensation claim for poor ergonomics in the workplace.
