What I like about the company
You get out of Ferguson what you put into it. Internal and External Customer Satisfaction along with Safety are top priorities on a daily basis. The training and development opportunities provided to me over the past 13 years have helped me make a career out of my employment with Ferguson. I am proud to be employed with them and am a true success story. Started as a temporary (seasonal) associate 13 yrs ago and now I am the 1st shift floor manager. The culture and dedication Ferguson has for its employees and customers supports growth and a family oriented experience.
What I dislike about the company
There current business model of hiring outside people for key senior management positions. I have always been a firm believer of promoting from within. Those that worked from the "ground up" so to speak within Ferguson have added dedication and value that associates appreciate and respect when those people are promoted into key senior management positions.
The associate incentive program needs to be reevaluated to promote teamwork instead of individual reward
