Suggestions for improvement

  • I feel that appropriate training for new positions could be improved. They transition people into new roles with very minimum education. They are not as focued on positive customer feedback as they are with revenue. Consumers have a great deal of options when it comes to banks and they are not as focused on maintaining relationships as they are with gaining new business

What I like about the company

I have overall been extremely happy with this bank. I left for a short time but found that other companies were not able or willing to offer the same opportunities and compensation. They promote quickly and offer great opportunity. It is an extremely accepting environment to everyone and has a very diverse team. They offer very competitive benefits to both full and part time

What I dislike about the company

Despite massive push back from consumers they continue to push an almost strictly sales approach focusing less on quality customer service. They have continued to cut staffing causing any disruptionin staffing to be a major issue. We often feel overwhelmed and under unable to do our jobs to the fullest

Challenging Work

Banking Is changing and clientele agreements differences come into play because of tech challenges for older people and permanence issues with younger people

Banks have to put a conservative feel out there, but behind closed doors I felt that our diversity was celebrated openly and all employees were valued for a unique quality that they could bring to the table

Company Culture

The company used to have great culture up until about 4 or 5 years ago, and it just started going downhill

Support from management

Poor upper management

Teamwork

Fosters a lot of division between managers and their teams and rewards a lack of teamwork

Freedom to work independently

Very untrusting and fires people left and right

Internal Communication

I mean they try, but they aren't effective

Gender Equality

Men are definitely paid better

Attitude towards older colleagues

Its hard to judge since tbe more experienced are entitled to bettwe pay, so its hard to judge

Career Development

Yes, but there is a lot of sabotage to getting to those better careers

Overall compensation for your work

I felt I deserved a little more, but they were close

Office / Work Environment

Most facilities are nice

Environmental Friendliness

Recycles

Work-Life Balance

Not for management

Company Image

Nor presently there, if so, the answer would still be a no

Job Security

I never felt that way the last 2 years I worked there

Handicapped Accessibility

Great

Workplace Safety

Robbery prevention could always be better , and they allow managers to work alone

Challenging Work

If you wanted a challenge, you sure got one. At times it was frustrating, because it was difficult to clebrate successes and nothing was ever good enough

Inclusive / Diverse

Overvalues it actually, to the point of reverse discrimination

Suggestions for improvement

  • Fire upper management, particularly the affiliate president, and get a better leader

What I like about the company

The first four or five years I worked there, they had a great company culture of putting customers and employees above the bottom line. In turn, their bottom line was actually benefited by customers and employ loyalty. As soon as they set those priorities

What I dislike about the company

Focus on selling no matter what instead of selling appropriately and taking good care of employee is just not working. You have lost some of your best people the last 2-3 years
