Support from management

There is very poor leadership which tarts at the top.

Internal Communication

There is no communication which is the most difficult part of working there. Administration says one thing while supervisors say another that contradicts. This poor communication in turn is then blamed on the workers instead of management taking responsibility.

Gender Equality

Men seem to be treated a lot worse than women in this company.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Seniority and time served has no relevance from what I saw.

Career Development

There is little to no chance at developing into a higher position with this company. In my time with them there was 1 to 3 people who moved up to a new position out of 200+ people. There are no real trainings offered and additional college can be partially covered, but you have to stay there 2 years after you graduate or they will bill you for the portion they gave you towards your degree.

Overall compensation for your work

The pay was horrible. They paid less than every non-profit within 50 miles. This was the main reason I left. They promised annual raises, but myself and no one around me received them. Each year we were told there was no money for us. I was told that there was a pay scale for my position, but I was never put on that pay scale. And my direct supervisor was put on the low end of their scale so no one under her received a raise because they couldn't make more than her even if they had 5+ years experience.

Work-Life Balance

You will be blamed for working too much, but if you just punch the clock, you will be deemed an underachiever.

Workplace Safety

There were no lights in the parking lot which was really dark at night. Roof leaks throughout the building and cables everywhere. I doubt they met OSHA standards at any of their facilities.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Better pay and treatment for employees that are not management.

What I like about the company

The goal of the company is noble.

What I dislike about the company

Senior management and poor treatment of employees.
