Suggestions for improvement
- Better communication between the different departments. If several department have to be involved in a project, communicate progress and expectations to them regularly.
What I like about the company
I have been with the company for 9 years. The first thing I noticed is the strong dedication of everybody who works there to the company's mission, which is to help military families become financially successful. Also, this is an employee owned company, and the upper management is very good at communicating where the company is headed, what initiatives are being prioritized and how we are doing financially. Great environment to work in as well. EVeryone is very friendly.
What I dislike about the company
Right now, all the admin staff in the field is hired by advisors, not the company itself, which means that they don't get any benefits and are usually paid barely above minimum wage. I personally think that that's the Achilles heal of our company, because training good admin is a tremendous sick of time and resources, and they rotate so often because they don't want to stay. And I don't blame them.
