Horrendous. They rope you in with day shift hours but really your working twice as hard as you have anywhere else and your days are very long. You will be so tired when you get home. I was a manager and working 6 days is an expectation of you along with countless days being there 10-13 hours. Just because they close at 2:30 does not mean you leave anywhere close to that. This place eats at your soul little by little.
Support from management
They actually do not care at all about quality of life or work life balance
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to your managers instead of undermining them any way you can and actually care that they are working incredibly hard for you! Also be mindful of the fact they are working well over 50hrs a week to be treated like poo. The only thing that had you standing out from other restaurants was day time hours for managers that are looking for employment and you abuse that to the fullest. People come work here thinking they will have a good work life balance finally and they want to do well and then they really believe in your products and service and you smack them with 60 hour work weeks and long days. And even after accepting the fact that you have been suckered in to thinking it was better hours for you and your family you go and treat them like crap. It's a giant slap in the face.
What I like about the company
Nothing. They don't really care about their employees.
What I dislike about the company
Following chain of command is a joke here and they do not care about employees. Also why the heck did they think the busiest day of the week was perfect for full inventory? Getting there at 4:30am to cook bacon for the day and be there until between 6-8pm? You get your butt whooped all day and then you still have full inventory! Work life balance is a joke here as well.
