Employees decide the factors that is the only negative.
Support from management
Not much support for Management.
Freedom to work independently
Management is responsible for everything.
Communication is strong here especially when negative.
None of the hourly employees want to be promoted to a salary position? There is no want to work the long hours that are required? 52 hours plus?
Attitude towards older colleagues
One of the better categories. As long as the job gets done! They are respected!
All employees are developed to move forward. None want to. These two restaurant teams have been in place for a long time?
Overall compensation for your work
I was hired in in 2005 at $45,000.00 no benefits or bonus were offered? As the company became profitable in 2006-these became available. Health insurance is paid in half. The employee has to pay the other half? Bonus is paid in points? $25.00 is the starting point per point. Points are awarded 65% or below. The most points I ever earned was a 58%. Never once did I receive a raise on my salary?
Office / Work Environment
All above are good.
internal affairs are the only impact the owner cares about.
You will get 2 days off? Owner will set you up on meetings and or events on your days off?
They do. Hourly especially!
I did? I came in at a time that the owner wanted to remove himself from the business. Most Chefs and General managers never lasted a year? I lasted for 8 and a half years?
Honestly I feel that there was a lot to be proud of here? If that is the only thing you are looking for? As well as patting yourself on the back.
Inclusive / Diverse
They say they do? But knock down ideas as quick as the come up? Owner is set in his ways and what he wants.
Suggestions for improvement
- As the situation suggests now? Let the Managers do what they were hired to do? Run the restaurant? Thats all. Make guests happy! Keep them coming back.
What I like about the company
As I was a long time employee-I thought there was job security? What I didn't know was that there wasn't? in 8 and a half years there was no raise in salary? And that wasn't just for myself? I watched sous chefs and chefs get hired back at a lesser rate? Honestly? If you are looking for a place to show longevity and tenor on your resume? Then this might be the place for you? Other than that?
What I dislike about the company
Hourly employees are treated better than Managers? Valued more than Managers? No raise on base salary? Benefits are only paid in half?
The following benefits were offered to me
