What work-life balance?
The idea of wellness programs, incentives are a nice motivation for working at this company
Support from management
I do not feel director has my back with patient staus. Also, there is very little feedback with patient/ MD appointments. There is little-no feedback about surveys which a lot of pressure is put on us for almost nothing.
Every man for themselves. It is discouraging to feel that your director does not have your back. Cleaning is a two person job, when going to the director for help with whole team compliance, no real resolution happens.
Freedom to work independently
Working in the clinic works well. We and our partner are free to use our best professional judgement. However, these therapist have DOCTORATE degrees and should have the freedom to make and correct the disagnosis of patients that are being treated. The politics are frustrating.
Fair communication between providers and clerical employees. Tasks and DocHao are helpful with communication between providers however not a lot of help when communicating with front desk or feedback. I still don’t know how to get started on the wellness program???
No. I opportunities for growth or pay raise here other than being here +5years.
Overall compensation for your work
I don’t think anyone will ever really be compensated for what they think they’re worth. However, other than time spent working there are no opportunities for pay raise. It’s frustrating and mostly discouraging.
Office / Work Environment
I think FMC could do more about making AC more accessibly to a department that has literally people exercising in all day. We struggle for room to work. Equipment that has been ordered in November just got out up last night. Also, our documentation system is from the 90s. Why am I document on Microsoft Word? FMC could do more about talking to EHR company about improving documentation for all departments, not just doctors.
There is no recycling.
I spend more time with work related tasks than at home or asleep. Scheduling does not offer documentation time and no improvements are offered with EHR programs. Providers in this department are expected to perform clerical work, clean tables and use 1980s exercise program instead of focusing on patient care, staying up to date with documentation and improving billing- which is what brings in the money.
Yes I hear good things about he company itself.
Very stable. We are a very busy clinic.
We have safety procedures that are reviewed every staff meeting.
I feel that I do my best work every day. I work really hard are making my patients better. I wish employees were recognized when there was good reviews from doctors, highest number of evals, best billing month. We’re not children who need gold stickers but happy employees do better work.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better EHR which from what I understand will never happen because our system works for the MDs. Improved opportunities for pay raise. I wish I didn’t have to use my limited PTO for continuing education courses or had a way to make up time or even the choice to just be short on my work hours. Please don’t tell your employees that you give them pizza on staff meeting only because it’s cheap, way to show how much we’re cared about ...
What I like about the company
I like the incentives for being healthy and getting lowered rates in health insurance premiums.
What I dislike about the company
I wish I felt more comfortable going to my
Director about patient issues. Each time I’ve regretted not just going to my PT about patients. My manager is good but managing style is not. I don’t like that I can’t get raises. Other than that this place is nice.
