Company Culture

Being "Thrown under the bus" is very common here. Supervisors will trash anyone in order to retain their position in the "management clique"

Support from management

Constant Monday-morning quarter-backing, with no true consensus on desired production quality.

Teamwork

Team work breaks down on the production floor frequently.

Freedom to work independently

Slacking by several employees in a department is not uncommon while one employee works hard to reach desired quotas.

Internal Communication

Monthly meetings are filled with admonishments, vacant promises, and meaningless information.

Gender Equality

Women are routinely discriminated against.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Long term employees continually lose benefits and promised bonuses

Career Development

Few, if any, advancement prospects are available for the average employee

Overall compensation for your work

Pay is consistently below industry standards, with no offered bonuses for most employees. Promised bonuses are frequently reneged upon.

Office / Work Environment

A closer look at OSHA regulations would greatly benefit the safety and health of the employees

Environmental Friendliness

Metal dust is not disposed of properly as required by EPA guidelines.

Work-Life Balance

Work is priority, vacation is allowed only when management deems it acceptable in regards to production deadlines. Management has threatened to recall employees from vacation if "production needed it".

Company Image

Morale is quite low, often to the detriment of product produced.

Job Security

Constant employee movement due to decreasing work loads

Handicapped Accessibility

No major considerations offered for disabled employees unless they're management.

Workplace Safety

Major OSHA concerns in production areas, including employee training, equipment maintenance, and Code violations.

Challenging Work

Quality is a consistent issue, often being overruled for production rates

Suggestions for improvement

  • A full audit of all OSHA, EPA, Quality, and HR guidelines
  • Hire a dedicated HR team and review all employees and management

What I like about the company

Local American company keeping work in American

What I dislike about the company

Numerous OSHA, Human Relations, and environmental concerns that require immediate action.
