What I like about the company
Working with my manager has been the best part of my job.
What I dislike about the company
There is no respect for employee expertise and decisions are made not in the best interest of students, but based on whatever leadership decides they want right then. Resources are poorly allocated, making it harder for people to do their jobs properly, and lots of money and time get spent on things that have no benefit beyond keeping up appearances or stroking egos. No communication between departments and both active and passive aggression abound. I would love to see the focus go back to where it belongs—students—and for the institution to progress beyond the stone ages and position itself to well-serve the community. Actually listen to staff and faculty and involve them in making decisions instead of just arbitrarily doing things based on what HIPPOs assume is best.
