Workplace Safety

Initially I was excited to work for the firm, however that quickly diminished soon after I began. Albeit an older firm in Boston, the technology is weak, new ways of process improvement is rarely encouraged and leadership is moreso viewed as empowerment coupled with narrow minded (office)management. I really wanted to like Foley, but they really are just stuck in the times. I also wish they would be more eco friendly and invest in a drinking fountain of some sort rather than supplying hundreds of water bottles for staff each week. Perhaps the money spent on the Friday catered lunches and water bottles could be better spent on upgrading their technology and training classes that could be beneficial to the firms needs in the long run.

Company culture

Management seems to be fixated on how much they can squeeze out of the employees for the least amount of pay. Outsourcing is rampant, and there is no recognition for a job well done. Morale is very low.

Support from Management

Management offers no support, and in fact is very heavy-handed and unfair. Unless you are well connected or have a partner protecting you, you might as well have a target on your back. Management will be looking for reasons to withhold salary increases at review time, although you worked hard to earn one.
