Suggestions for improvement
- Get real leaders who can do the job the correct way and reward those who work hard and put in the time. Improve pay.
What I like about the company
There was not much to like.
What I dislike about the company
Over the years working there, I have seen people who have put in 7 years of work to be overlooked and not promoted to a newish hires. The way to get promoted is to be friends with the store manager. Hard work is overlooked. After my first year I was given a .01 cent raise. I was told it is all they could afford. I ask for more than 2 years to be moved to the market to learn under someone that I really liked and enjoyed working with. I was overlooked for 16 year old bag boys(which at the time wasn't allowed). I was told I was to valuable to move from produce which doesn't make sense because of the .01 cent raise. I had at the time 5-7 bosses which all wanted to do different things and in return was the fall guy when something didn't go the way one of them wanted. Open jobs were never posted and just given to people who may not have deserved them and or was known by the hiring manager. I have expressed all these concerns to a HR rep. Also the store managers always seem to never be there and it seems like working 1 week a month is standard. These are some, not all, of the reasons that I would never recommend this job to anyone.
