Lack of positive reinforcements. More of adding extra work with increased expectations. Lack of communication and fairness from leadership. If you aren't friends with leaders in charge it can cause more issues and a lower ability for you to move up the ladder.
Support from management
Lack of support and positive reinforcements from leadership. Good support regarding classroom discipline issues.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is not high enough for the amount of work required. Also lack of pay increase and insurance consistently gets higher.
Public education in general has no work life balance. The government requires more and more each year.
Yes no issues with OSHA standards being broken.
Suggestions for improvement
- Praise the staff, increase pay, require more from parents and the community. Allow all staff the opportunity to grow and move to a higher position within the district. Be cognizant and understanding that mistakes will be made in a high stress and high pressure environment.
