Suggestions for improvement
- I do wish our current leader would be more prominent in employee's lives and at least take the time to make his presence known other than during the yearly employee meeting. It is meant to feel like a family and I feel his image, or lack thereof, drags people down. Example: During last years employee meeting, when employees were given the chance to directly ask questions they displayed that they were concerned with a new property coming on board in relation to their own jobs. Instead of directly answering these questions with concern and a plan, a rather "political" answer was given. I know I personally felt unheard during these occasions and did not feel taken seriously.
What I like about the company
Four Winds has been such a fun place to work for, despite the short-handedness it continuously seems to face. Growth is constant and I have seen many co-workers and friends alike rise through the ranks and towards their own ideal work scenarios, and I have seen others simply be given the chance to change departments and see what else it is that they may like. I feel that as long as one is willing to give their growth a chance and see it as more than "working for the weekend", they are able to go farther than in a traditional corporation.
What I dislike about the company
While growth is a big selling point, I do feel that sometimes nepotism allows people to rise through the ranks when they might not be quite ready to. Additionally, people do feel unheard in times of hardship when departments are running on skeleton crews and they are unable to get the help that they desperately need.
