- When patients present with transmittable infections or diseases, get it posted so that the staff can take protective measures.
What I like about the company
I really don't have anything good to say about this employer. They're not concerned with the wellness of their employee, only the cost of coverage for them. When it comes to protecting them from infections and diseases in the workplace, they talk the talk but they don't walk the walk. I was exposed to some pretty bad bugs (like TB) on several occasions. I reported the lax procedures that lead to the exposure but it fell on deaf ears.
What I dislike about the company
Management has no compunction about required attendance for useless meetings on off shift hours. They have the meetings when the managers are on shift but the people who work for them have to attend these meetings when they're off shift. This happens at least monthly and often without much notice.
Their "so called" Wellness program targets 99% of their employees as having some sort of unhealthy habit or condition and requires participation in their pedestrian wellness program or pay higher rates to get insurance that only covers 70% of "in Network" HMO style insurance. Their insurance / wellness program and the risk of infection were the reasons that I left the company.
