Support from management
Some things are better than others, for the most part, things seem to go quite well.
At times, notes are the only way to go.
Freedom to work independently
Our workload is truly dependent upon our guests.
Again, sometimes notes are the best communication.
Mostly women working in the front jobs.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I am an older worker, with over 10 years in, and am treated the same as anyone else. With respect, and the new employees do ask for guidance.
Office / Work Environment
Could use quicker computers to keep up with guests, but manageable at this time.
Being a State Park Inn means we are trying to do our part to help the environment, and try to be socially responsible.
We are a 24 hr. establishment, and each person is scheduled around pertinent personal schedules, including higher education schedules.
Depending on the position, the feeling of accomplishment can be a little, or quite a great feeling.
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity is not needed here, as there is only one way to do things, the right way, putting our guests first.
Suggestions for improvement
- Let the senior (longer term) employees know that they are important to the company, and their knowledge about the system is appreciated.
What I like about the company
I like the diversity of our guests, the quiet area, the fact there is a police station across the street makes me feel safer when working.
What I dislike about the company
I don't like that there is little room for advancement.
