I dont know about other cities, but at my branch communication was bad and leadership very wishy washy.
Support from management
The best branch managers never stayed too long.
My department was strong in this area. I don't know about the rest of the branch.
Freedom to work independently
It was ok.
Nobody ever knew anything! You look towards your leaders for leadership, and it was scarce. When I needed my leaders the most, I was left dissapointed.
Attitude towards older colleagues
As workers, we got along fine.
Not too much room for growth, unless you were a chosen one. Certain people advance for various reasons.
Overall compensation for your work
I was laid off after 11 dedicated years, and another co-worker served about 14 years. No reason really given. I feel the heads of this company lacks class. There is certainly a difference in how employees are treated. In my department, we all worked very hard, but half enjoyed more benefits than the other half. More freedoms. More perks.
Office / Work Environment
It was alright. The five star is for my department.
For me, it wasn't balanced. I gave up alot to satisfy the job.
In my mind it is only good to the one's it looks out for. Again, I can't speak nation wide. I can only speak from my experience. Maybe brances in other cities were much better.
I do appreciate the years I was allowed to work.
We really had no handicapped.
I felt safe indoors.
I worked in a challenging department, and we worked well and got the job done.
Suggestions for improvement
- Grow to be a company who treats everyone fairly, and reward your long term dedicted employees. There is no appreciation. I personally feel like my experience was bad. I want more than a paycheck from my employer, I want to feel appreciated. My work history and attendance will show that i gave my all.
What I like about the company
Great co-workers. I met some great people. Worked alonside some good folks.
What I dislike about the company
They don't seem to care about it's employees, and I've heard that from many others. I've watched a co-worker who always went above and beyond her job description, get a raise so small that it was embarrassing, and she ends up let go for no reson. I have also seen unsatisfactory workers walk out the door and be given the red carpet to return. Learning to appreciate, and take care of the workers who make your brand successful would be a great improvement for this company.
