Company Culture in the Corp. Office is often unfair. They are a family business and understand that if you are not family you will not be treated the same.
Support from management
Management was often unavailable to answer questions and adequately train.
It is a small office with no real IT Dept. they don't really have a Team.
Freedom to work independently
The one IT person in this business should be experienced because you will be the only person doing most of the work. You will have a lot of responsibility.
Communication was often unavailable between the IT Person and Manager as the Mgr. is often unavailable.
This is a male dominated business, the women in the Corp. HQ had a lot of responsibility and worked hard. I don't know if they were treated any differently than their male counterparts.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I feel that they treated the older colleagues fairly.
I did not have enough training to perform the job. The Manager was often out of the office and unavailable.
Overall compensation for your work
They have decent benefits and offer bonuses.
Office / Work Environment
Office was ok, no ventilation, plenty of light, little noise. Furniture is old. Computers are mostly new Dell machines.
I suppose they are aware as they can be. I did not notice any recycling at the Corp. HQ.
You can ask for time off, but they will use it against you. They seem kind at the moment, but don't take any time off unless you have to.
I got the overall feeling that most people were satisfied with their jobs. The office is really small and they all seem satisfied.
My job was not stable, I felt that they used me to perform the tasks that were needed and then released me from employment. They were insulting and rude towards me on my last day.
It's a single story building it meets the necessary codes.
They must have some Safety practices in the Branches in place, but the Corp. office is small and didn't seem to need any real training.
I was always proud of my accomplishments because I worked hard and was learning many new things each day most of it self taught as my Manager spent little time training me.

What I like about the company
They are a family run business, it was close to my home, I thought they were going to treat me well.
What I dislike about the company
Lack of training, lack of communication between Management and myself, they need to have training in Human Resources and to learn how to manage their staff in all situations.
