As stated before, the middle management is often placed between a rock and a hard place, forcing them to act as apologists for bad executive moves to the workers, and always having to defend certain workers to the top brass. Problems exist which will never be addressed, either for budgetary reasons or plain laxness, it was not clear to me which was to blame.
Support from Management
There is a clear adversarial relationship from the people at the top that trickles down to the middle management, to the regular employees, and even down to the temp help.
