- General Magnaplate Corporation09.Dec 2016
Disjointed, there seemed to be two worlds in competition
At times, it was difficult but in the end everyone worked to get the job done
Daily information was given, but not always kept in the loop regarding incoming projects. There were quarterly updates as to how the company was doing.
To date, women only hold middle management position.
Development is often discussed but nothing ever comes from it.
Overall compensation for your work
The health benefits are good-there is 401k as well. But compensation does not meet industry standards.
Office / Work Environment
Old building with old technology
I wanted to but unfortunately, I was not.
As long as there was incoming work, the job will be stable. The plant requires a set number of people to run it.
No elevator and manual doors - plant is on ground floor with corporate on 2nd floor
Challenging wrt getting the work done
Suggestions for improvement
- Invest in your employees
What I like about the company
I was given the opportunity to gain responsibility quickly.
What I dislike about the company
The disconnect between the corporation and the manufacturing floor.
The following benefits were offered to me
