Suggestions for improvement

  • I would either hold the company that oversees EVS and Dining Services fully responsible for maintaining an exceptional level of customer service or withdrawal from the contract and take back control of both departments. Also the fact that there is a freeze on all raises is very demoralizing. We are already not being paid at a competitive rate so for us to not receive raises is just appalling. Some of our centers are in desperate need for an upgrade or renovation. However the centers that do get the upgrades or renovations are not bringing in the dollars that some of the other centers are. It doesn’t make sense. Stop buying up new buildings, stop sinking money into the buildings that aren’t bringing in money, focus on updating the centers that really need it, get rid of the company that oversees EVS & Dining Services, increase our budget, give employees competitive pay rates so we can bring in better employees and give us back our raises. All these cuts equal less money coming in. You have to spend money to make money. Give us a break to help us do our jobs even better. Instead of taking away, give back and watch the center grow and thrive like you wouldn’t believe!!

What I like about the company

Our administrator is very employee driven. She does whatever she can to acknowledge exceptional work ethic and building employee morale. We have an Employee of the Month each and every month as well as monthly employee events.
We also have a foundation that employees can contribute to which is used for disaster events or employees that are facing hardships like a major illness or if someone’s house caught fire, etc.

What I dislike about the company

Corporate is all about the almighty dollar. Sometimes it feels like money is placed before customer service. Corners are cut in an effort to save money but it ends up being perceived by the patients as a deficiency in customer service. It’s very frustrating for both patients and employees. I want to be able to go above and beyond to make a patient comfortable especially if it is something that should be relatively easy. But because something may not be in the budget,, we aren’t able to fulfill requests.
Also, the outsourcing of EVS and Dietary has not helped customer service at all. It has become harmful. We have gotten more complaints from those two departments that we’ve ever gotten before and it is unacceptable.
