There is virtually no positive communication. The only time we hear from upper management is when something goes wrong. The morale can't be lower. It's soulcrushing.
Support from management
My immediate supervisor is cool. EVERYONE in senior management is awful.
I have no complaints about my non-managerial coworkers.
Freedom to work independently
No autonomy at all.
None whatsoever!!! The owners tell us nothing. Not a single thing.
Almost every manager is a woman.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Hardly anyone stays more than a few years. There is not a single senior worker.
No career prospects whatsoever. No criteas for advancement. There is no training at all!!! No opportunities for personal development. It's a dead end.
Overall compensation for your work
What a joke! Wages are low. Benefits are pitiful. No vacation time in the first year. Only one week after two years. They offer a 401K but don't contribute a cent to it. Only 60% of healthcare costs are covered. Very little paid time off.
Office / Work Environment
The technology we use is a joke! The server crashes multiple times every day. Every day!
Haha!!!! The company doesn't even recycle because it costs too much! I'm not kidding. There are recycling bins in the building, but the contents are dumped into the trash. This is not a joke.
I don't take my work home. There are no vacation days in the first year of employment. Sick time can't be used to go to doctor or care for a sick child.
Absolutely not. Everyone is miserable. Upper management either is oblivious or doesn't care. Yes, the image reflects reality. It's a miserable existence.
My job is stable, but so many others have been laid off due to restructuring.
It's safe only because it's an office located in the woods.
Absolutely not. Some of the products I've had a hand in creating aren't terrible. The internal management style leads to subpar products. It's all about quantity rather than quality. Every single minute of the day is tracked, so employees feel pressure to get things done as quickly as possible. Then management wonders why quality suffers.
Inclusive / Diverse
No. Currently, out of about 100 employees, EVERY SINGLE person is white. This is New Hampshire, but it's on the border of Massachusetts in the Merrimack valley. It's a racially diverse area.
Management doesn't care about our opinions or ideas.
Suggestions for improvement
- Upper management won't listen, so suggestions are pointless. I won't waste my time. They don't care about us and the owner is stingy. If they haven't figured out yet why the company is so poorly regarded, they never will.
What I like about the company
Not a single thing related to the company or the work performed. The only positive is that I've met a few friends.
What I dislike about the company
There really is too much to list, so I'll just say this: I dislike EVERYTHING about the company.
