Suggestions for improvement
- Understand that all the initial changes failed on every level. GNC was built on an engaging, metrics driven, selling culture. The current brand is a weird GNC/ Vitamin Shoppe hybrid, where the selling isn't emphasized enough, and the assortment, unlike VS, is too limited due to operating in generally much smaller boxes, and therefore unable to sustain business. Also, stop bringing in leaders from failing companies ( Gamestop, Radio Shack,etc) who lack any industry knowledge or passion. It seems illogical to run and operate a health and fitness business without having many actual health and fitness experts.
- In closing, I would strongly dissuade job-seekers from GNC for the foreseeable future.
