It's pretty good except when you are different than others. It is expected that you replicate the actions of the top guy.

Expectations are set but reporting is not accurate to measure results. the cart is before the horse in a lot of policy and expectation establishment.
Many colleagues work together and have great ideas. Problems arise when upper management has an agenda and projects are given with a motive that may only support one thing and that is the welfare of the top dog.
