Not enough training for new hires and a fire them to teach the others a lesson attitude by the highest management.
Support from management
Not enough management support on the production floor on the off shifts.
A lot more communication when you screw up.
Overall compensation for your work
Decent benefits but you can go years without a quarterly review or a raise.
Sent home on Friday when the machine breaks down and required to come in Saturday with little notice and no choice.
Not for many years.
My job was eliminated after 33 years. The was no offer of another opportunity. The current owners seem to be milking every penny out of the place. You don't like it there's the door.
Work place safety is a strong point.
I was proud to work there when the original owner was there. Down hill ever since.
Inclusive / Diverse
I don't think diversity is a goal. It is obtained by whoever will work for the wages they will offer.
Suggestions for improvement
- Try enjoying the people you work with instead of treating them like an extension of the machine tools on the floor. Pizza twice a year does not fulfill this requirement.
What I like about the company
There are a lot of good people trying hard in the trenches.
What I dislike about the company
The "New Culture" as brought by the owners who bought the company out of bankruptcy.
