Most supervisora are just babysitters. Some like to yell at or talk down to employees.
Support from management
Supervisors change a lot. In 3 years, I had 6.
Huge turnover. Low morale. Most time is spent training new people.
Freedom to work independently
Employees are never asked for their opinions. Although the pay is equal, the strong men are always expected to do much more.
The rules depend on who you ask, and there are very few written work instructions.
Women are generally given much easier tasks for the same pay.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They'll hire anybody.
Almost all supervisory and management positions are filled from outside the company.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is fair to start, but tops out quickly. Insurance is terrible.
Office / Work Environment
It's actually a fairly clean factory. However, it's hard to get all the tools you need.
In 3.5 years, I've never heard it mentioned.
Ridiculous amount of overtime.
Noone at Greenheck is glad to be there.
Union will gladly take your money, but will not stand up for employees.
Supervisors offices have been moved upstairs.
Injuries are common, and changes are minimal. Some tasks are dangerous.
These are menial tasks.
Inclusive / Diverse
Decisions never involve employees affected by them.
Suggestions for improvement
- Greenheck was much better before management change. In only two years, new management has destroyed morale.
What I like about the company
Easy to get to. That's about it.
What I dislike about the company
Communication is non-existant. Supervisors can't even agree on what the rules are. Missing work on a doctor's advice still counts against you. HR is impossible to get ahold of and inexperienced. Sitting in a chair pressing a foot pedal pays the same as heavy lifting.
