Morale is at an all time low. They see that management doesn't care but most have no where to go.
Support from management
No communication from upper management. No direction given. No reviews given.
Not a lot of teamwork going on. Departments don't even try to work together for the good of the company.
Freedom to work independently
Workload is extreme and employees are unhappy, overworked. Management refueses to listen to suggestions on how to fix the deficiencies.
The in-equality was between new company coming in and their employees and the employees of the company they purchased.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Didn't really see any age discrimination.
Training was practically non-existent.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary was good, but not for what was expected.
Office / Work Environment
Copiers continually break down making it difficult to do your job. Computers are out-dated and internet is so slow due to overload. Noisy at times due to high phone and customer service.
Who knows what they support since there is no communication from the owner on down.
I wouldn't even have given this 1 star.
They have a horrible image now since the merger. Different name, same crappy company.
No job is stable there.
I think it is fairly adaptable for disabled employees
Safety issues are pretty much non-existent. The biggest safety issue is lifting heavy items.
I would have felt prouder had I had better direction from upper management.
Inclusive / Diverse
Again, no idea since there is no communication.
Suggestions for improvement
- Get rid of management who can't seem to come out of their office long enough to manage. Get people in upper management who can foster training and support for your employees before you lose all the good ones.
What I like about the company
Before the merger, it was a family run company that cared about the business and it's employees.
What I dislike about the company
After the merger, it was about nepotism and the bottom line at the expense of the employees, especially the old company employees. They are slowly being pushed out becuase of mis-management by upper management.
