Fairness and trust has been significantly undermined by many managers.
Support from management
Managers do not receive adequate training to lead with positive or productive feedback.
The only area where there is distinct inequality is in upper management, where there are no women.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Very weak in this area. Older employees are encouraged to leave or are let go.
Employees are required to pursue personal career development, but that doesn't often lead to career advancement within the company.
Overall compensation for your work
Salaries are paid on time, salaries are pretty good, and benefits are very good.
Office / Work Environment
The physical environment is excellent - new building, free parking, up-to-date equipment
Many employees are dissatisfied, and do not speak well of the company.
Many do not feel their job is stable, but not due to financial reasons. Often due to restructuring, or change in management and new management's preferences.
Yes, very good safety training.
I was always proud of my work products, most often not recognized for meeting challenges or goals.
Suggestions for improvement
- More positive approach to managing human capital and leadership.
What I like about the company
Good benefits and good building to work in.
What I dislike about the company
Management is in flux, and in recent years does not adequately train middle managers, causing poor management of staff.
